Mormons are Scrambling to Stop the Leaving

The Mormon "way" has always been silence and secrecy. One would think a denomination which lives off of donations from the pews would be open with those in the pews about how much money has been accumulated and what it is used for. Nope.

The denomination has always had an uphill battle using Joeseph Smith and later Brigham Young as its "holy" people. These men were assigned holy status as prophets and interpreters of what God wants and the writers of rules. The problem with these two men was they had too many wives.

To deal with what is obviously flim flam the Mormon church has now published for the first time a folksy question and answer publication. Widely asked questions and challenges are stated and equally conversational answers are published. To me, it makes the Morom problem even worse.

The publication lists various things that are unexplainable. Like with the rest of conservative Christianity, when there is no way so support what someone once said, it was "revealed." The term "revealed" means it's a myth.

The Mormon church is building new church buildings call "Temples" in the U.S. and in countries around the world. This while their numbers are quite obviously falling. There is no explanation as to why all this building is being done. As one pundit said, it is apparently as effort to look as if it is an expanding and continually growing institution. What else is it going to do with a hundred billion dollars?

That Salt Lake City, the mother city of the Mormon faith, is now less than 50% Mormon is a signal things are not going well.
