The Most Important Thing Missing in Trump's Brain

 




All of us can see around us people who have abilities that are extraordinary. Most of the time, they are extraordinary at one or two things. Athletes, for example, can control their bodies better than most of us. Artists see something the around them things the rest of us miss. There are people who see money-making opportunities that are in front of all of us but only they recognize it.

Politicians, in most cases, are people who see how other people think. Most of us are focused on our own logic but a successful politician understands the thinking of groups different from him/herself. At one point is time Trump showed us this talent. That was when he entered politics, about 2015. He could see people did not like those at the top, especially those who had an air of self-importance. It was an eye opener when he dismissed Jeb Bush of the prominent Bush political family with "no more Bushes."

That he once had that ability makes it all the more mysterious that he now has no understanding of Iranian leaders. He killed its leader, bombed the country and took much of its revenue. Then, he offered lots of money, money which rightfully belonged to Iran, and expected leaders to be grateful. Instead, Iran keeps giving Trump the bird. This is baffling Trump. He seems to have no idea Iran sees itself as in the driver's seat and Trump is a hapless passenger. Trump's mind is going 100 mpr on other topics but he cannot slow down enough to understand he has been out flanked and out maneuvered. 

Of course, all Presidents misread people on occasion. A Democrat told Obama that Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley might vote for his health program. Obama delayed implementation making changes to appease Grassley. He never came around. 

Biden supported Netanyahu buying his theory of how to defeat Hamas. That was a mistake.

Trump not understanding Iran takes the cake. People are being killed because Trump cannot muster the interest to learn the reality other leaders see.

We all have our ideas about what is good or smart politics. I'm no different. Those who read this blog have to hear mine. My thinking is millions of voters will go to the polls in the next two elections for the specific purpose of voting against Trump. Will We Ever Know How Accurate Current Bibles Are

When I discuss the many times the Bible was copied and recopied by scribes over a couple of thousand years, the reply is often, "I have a book by this (or that) expert who says the Bible is 99% accurate to its original writers." The 99% claim appears in various places defending the Bible. There is one thing we know absolutely: There is no surviving original copy of the Bible. Even the oldest surviving material is a generation or two after the time some of the Bible was written. This means no one can claim he has, or ever will, compare the current Bible to the original Bible and find the two are 99% the same. We cannot claim either that it is not 99% accurate. For the sake of discussion, however, assume the current Bible is 99% accurate. That would mean the one word out of every 100 was inaccurate. Ancient God, Bel (Baal), the Main Character in an Ancient Play

In a British museum is a preserved stone tablet from Babylon. It dates to about 2,000 BCE. Someone labored patiently to inscribe an entire passion play featuring the god Bel. I reiterate this is a stone tablet, not a recopied papyrus. The play begins with the god Bel arrested by soldiers and taken off the stage. He reappears at a trial in the Hall of Judgement. Bel is innocent but is sentenced to death. In the next scene Bel is accosted by a mob. He is despised and rejected. The actor playing Bel is then taken by guard to a hilltop in a sacred grove. Two criminals are taken with him. One of these is released. The the audience then leaves the theater and follows the actor Bel and his guards to the top of a hill where the death scene is enacted by hanging from a tree.
