The War in Iran is Over. Iran Won

I seems so obvious, yet it is not being reported as such. Trump was not able, and will not be able, to take Iran's uranium nor control the Strait. Iran will have both more power and more influence than it had before it was attacked. Pundits are guessing Trump is hoping no one will notice.

Obama figured out how to deal with Iran. He referred to it with its assigned name, Islamic Republic of Iran. No other Presidents had done that. Then Obama explained to Iran why the West was concerned about nuclear weapons, that being threats on Western nations and on allies in the Middle East. At the same time, Iran explained it had enemies in the region and needed weapons to defend itself. As I recall, the two sides agreed to be quite open about activities and plans and agreed to be respectful of the concerns of the other.

Trump threw all of that mutual respect under the bus and stopped the relationship agreed upon with Obama. From day one it was threats of bomb and burn. We now see that Iran had several years to prepare for Trump's ham-handed military attack and has done quite well to counter-attack and make life miserable for Trump.

Previous administrations have been taken to the cleaners by Pakistan. During the Gulf War W. Bush trusted Pakistan to help the U.S. It collected billions of dollars and many believed did nothing to help the U.S. All this time Pakistan said it was all in for the U. S. and had no use for Osama Bin Laden. When Obama replaced Bush and ordered the assassination of Bin Laden, where was he? In Pakistan.

I can envision this taking place. Trump, looking for a way to same face in Iran, asks Pakistan to monitor Iran's uranium and alert the U.S. if Iran is making material for a bomb. Also, Bush will as Pakistan to negotiate the removal of the uranium from Iran. Pakistan, as it has done before, will say it is delighted to help its friend the U.S. Like before, it will take big money and do nothing. Trump will claim he took care of "the problem in Iran." Trump will also pay for the damage done by the bombing. Lindsey Graham is the only Republican who has the honesty to say he does not trust Pakistan.

It's time for victory celebrations to begin in Iran.
