Christian Money Making Ideas Abound
A guy from Australia was able to con a city and the state of Kentucky into helping pay for a "replica" of Noah's Ark. Mostly, Christianity has been really successful at getting people's money. The ruse that you are going to hell unless you give lots of money to the priests worked well until Martin Luther spoiled a good deal. Now, another really good idea did not work.
In 2013, a family in California decided they could live off the families of dead Christians by starting to build a mausoleum shaped like a cross. Families would pay a healthy price for a space--when all spaces were filled the huge cross shaped mausoleum would cost between one and two billion dollars. In 2014 there was a news story that the family who would own and collect the billion needed to sell 400 spaces before construction could begin. They were only able to sell 22.
Those in the Christian faith pay for a lot of private jets used by clergy. I've never seen a tally of how many of these airplanes people in the pews have paid for. I would guess there are pleas from behind pulpits every Sunday for more jets or a bigger and faster one. In 2008 someone published a report there were 13 preachers with private jets. I'm sure there are many more preachers than that need jets. Maybe we need a Jets for Jesus charity to buy more of them.
Even though atheists and Pagans are considered the scum of society by many Christians, if is rare for anyone from either group to become wealthy by begging follows for money. Christian clergy are the ones with the desire and skill to do that.
