The Code Language of Forced Birth

All the Forced Birth groups have to say something now when they are losing elections across the board and the number of abortions has gone up. If we were in their shoes we would see a bleak future where supporters are feeling disillusioned and wonder why they should donate money to a cause with no hope of success.

The Forced Birth groups seem to have agreed on a message. It is that "much work remains to be done." This is code language for "keep sending us money."

All of this goes back to the period before Roe was overturned. During those decades the people making money from Forced Birth donors wanted Roe overturned because it represented years of political activity and employment for them. They envisioned going from state to state achieving one victory at time over several years. Each victory would bring donations for the next. The gravy train would flow for a generation or more. Probably it never occurred to any of them there would be loss after loss instead of victories and that donations might be threatened.

A part of the code language is also the large amount of money being raised by abortion rights groups. So far as I know, after every defeat at the polls Forced Birth blamed their loss on the money raised by abortion rights. Certainly the money spent in any election has some role in the outcome but the message and the candidate plays a bigger role. Many is the time a group or candidate with a smaller budget won an election. Nevertheless, Forced Birth cannot acknowledge their message is the problem so money raise by the enemy has to be blamed.

We can expect Forced Birth will continue to claim the large money available to abortion rights comes from "the abortion industry" even if it come in large part from grass roots donors. We can expect them to claim they are making "progress" even when they are losing by wider margins. The nature of the Forced Birth political operation is one of disinformation and deception. It thinks that if it can con some of the public into believing one cell is a human being it can also it can persuade the public into believing it is winning when it is losing.
