Are Christian Beliefs Always Sincere and Liberal Ones Not

There are things about the court and legal system that are hard for me to understand. How can a court, a judge or jury, know precisely what is in the mind of a person or a group of people? I think it is accurate that people who claim to hold Christian beliefs are considered honorable and truthful. They are never, so far as I know, are considered opportunistic or self-serving. The views of liberals, however, have not been referred to as "sincerely held beliefs."

Liberals recently have started making a claim in court that the right to an abortion is part of their "religious freedom." Will these liberal views be given the same level of importance as anti-abortion views?

I know court cases turn on what is in the minds of people. There is the "meeting of the minds" in contracts. There is premeditated and crimes of passion. When these mind concepts get into religion, however, it seems like the bucket's got a hole in it.

Courts, especially conservative judges and lawmakers, are stepping into quicksand. How would anyone's religion be doubted in court? Here is a hypothetical case:

"Are your religious beliefs in religious X sincerely held?"  "YES"

"Is your religion a faith of others, or just you? If there are others, how many other believers are there? "THERE IS AT LEAST ONE OTHER BELIEVER, THE PERSON WHO CONVERTED ME. I CAN GIVE YOU HIS NAME AND YOU CAN ASK HIM ABOUT HIS FAITH."

"We you raised in this faith or was it a recent thing with you?" "IT IS RECENT. BUT, IT'S SINCERE."

"Does your faith have a book that established its tenets?" "WE DON'T BELIEVE IN BOOKS. OUR TENETS WERE REVEALED TRUTHS, LIKE IN THE BIBLE."

"You are charged with having (or performing) an abortion and are claiming abortion is part of faith X. How can your faith believe such a terrible thing?" "MY FAITH, CALLED X, IS IDENTICAL TO CHRISTIANITY IN THAT WE BELIEVERS ARE TO BE GOOD STEWARDS OF THE EARTH. HUMANS DAMAGE THE EARTH. MORE HUMANS MEAN MORE DAMAGE. THAT'S WHY A SINCERE FOLLOWER OF FAITH X WILL ALWAYS HAVE OF PERFORM ABORITONS."

VERDICT: "The court finds your religion is not the one true religion, Christianity. Freedom of religion is only for Christianity. Therefore, you cannot use it to justify abortions."
