U.K. is the Least Religious Country in the World
Christians often atheists want to be religious but instead want practice their sinful lives without penalty. The U.K. now polls lower than any other country in religion. We should see lower morality than any other country. Can anyone measure or see this lack of morals? If there is no evidence of this the entire premise that Christianity helps society in any way.
I came up with one measurement of the respective moral standards comparing the secular U.K. and Christian U.S. The U.S. has a former President who was determined by a jury to have abused a woman. The U.K. holds no such high moral standard.
Here is something other might think reflects low moral standards. London has a big gay district. That is considered by some Christians to be the highest ranking of all sin. Wait, U. S. cities all have gay bars. Some, like where I live, has a nightclub-like place with regularly scheduled drag shows. No help there in the case against a more sinful U.K.
Here is another avenue to pursue, great authors. The U.K. is home to perhaps the most influential atheist of current times, Professor Richard Dawkins (The God Delusion). No atheist author of such note is from the U.S. Yet, the U.S. is home to people who blog that homosexuality is not of lower moral credentials than heterosexuality. One such person is writing this blog.
One has to wonder if in time the U.S. will poll like the U.K. does now. It is so much more religious this seems impossible. Yet, the U.S. is trending toward less religion. Stranger things have happened.
I suppose there are religious people in the U.K. saying the same things some are saying in the U.S. such as "What this country needs is a good revival." That is hasn't happened in the U.K. might hint at how likely it is in the U.S.
The fact that moral standards in the U.K. are as high as they are in the U.S. is proof religion contributes nothing to the morality of a society.
