Anti-Abortion Zealots Want to see Women's Medical Records


The headline in my morning newspaper reads, "White House moves to protect some abortion patients' records."

Long-time readers of this blog know I predicted many years ago the hidden goal of anti-abortion operatives has always been to get access to women's medical records. Men controlling women is the what the faith is all about. Some anti-abortion readers assured me I was completely wrong. The woman has never been the source of the abortion decision, they said. The decision for abortion happens because abortion providers promote abortion and confuse the hapless women into a decisions they would never make were it not for the evil and sinister abortion providers they said. I believe the official position of the Catholic Church (and perhaps some Protestant groups) remains the woman is the "victim" of abortion, not the cause. 

This position has always been laughable when preached from pulpits. Now we can laugh even more because it is ridiculed on the front page of newspapers. Those who want to force women to give birth always disguise their true motives and are as dishonest as the day is long. 

Currently, anti-abortion zealots have outlawed abortions in some states. Women are doing what they must, which is to either go to other states for abortions or find medicines to do the abortion in their home. Anti-abortion zealots want to stop women in their states from traveling to other states and from doing these self- administered abortions. To stop these they must know who is pregnant. They need access to medical records in order to watch, harass, hound and arrest pregnant women.  Laws requiring doctors to turn over medical records is the way spy on women.

The original Roe v Wade used "privacy" as the reason for legalizing abortion. Using privacy has been ridiculed ever since by right wing judges and politicians. Yet, we can now see the wisdom of this. Without privacy of medical records government has its eyes on every one of us all the time. Government eyes on our medical records is the book "1984" on steroids. 

The Biden Administration is doing a good job by trying to limit government intrusion. All of us need to support it and resist ourselves in whatever way we can.

    About one half of anti-abortion legislation has women as co-sponsors and over a third of anti-abortion legislation is introduced by women. Almost exclusively these are Republican Christian women. There are a lot of conservative women with their noses in the reproductive bits of other women. The formula is “pro-life is pro-woman”.

    What a joy it be for every woman to put their baby bump on public display in fashionable maternity wear while shopping for that Cadillac buggy.

Who Suffers from a "Hardened Heart"

Some years ago on this blog there was a discussion about what the Bible calls "The hardened heart." The "hardened heart" was the explanation given for why people like me cannot accept the tenets of Christianity. We are unable to believe there are floating spirits and gods or imaginary places people go when the die. Now, a prominent Christian preacher and author has given us a way to diagnose the "hardened heart." It contained some surprises.  Rev. John Piper, who spoke about the hardened heart, said we can see this in a person who lacks "ordinary tenderness and compassion." Young Women can see Bull$hit a Mile Away

Republicans including their Forced Birth subgroup is bother by recent election results and polling. All show young women going to the left. A poll shows young women are 30% more likely to be very liberal than young men. The link advises the Forced Birth community to give young pregnant women an uplifting message. The message suggested is, "Buck up. You've got this. You can give birth and have a happy life." Another way of saying this is, "It will be OK if you miss work and/or are fired because of the birth. If you cannot make your rent payment, it's OK. Somewhere out there is another place to live. We don't know where but be optimistic."   This is an add on to the new version of the Forced Birth message, "We're for both the baby and the mother." They are not and never have been for the mother.
