Next Political Trashing of the Religious Right May be in Wisconsin

Every political confrontation between forced birth and women's rights to abortion has been won by the latter. Normally, we would see something like this end. In a Wisconsin vote on a State Supreme Court Judge women's right are expected to win again. It is an election that should be won easily by Republicans. Pundits are predicting a "political earthquake" win by abortion rights.

While forced-birth has been really successful at electing anti women legislators, in some cases helped by redistricting, there are circustances where state wide votes on abortion happen. These are iniated measures that put laws into place by voters. Only some states allow these.

Another is U. S. Senate elections. Mostly, of course, incubants win these so the success of women's rights is harder to come by.

A third is election of a state's judges. These are sometimes done on a state-wide basis and this is the case in Wisconsin. There is a clear difference between the two top candidates, one in favor of abortion rights the other not. The one in favor is polling far above the latter. There will be, however, a run-off election and, while it looks good for women's rights, predicting the outcome is not wise.

What has been gratifying so far is that every one of the statewide votes in several states have gone in favor of abortion rights. Polling shows 60% approval and voting confirms the public's preference.

Many forced-birth politicians who formerly preached the evils of abortions now switch the subject when it comes up. They have read the polls and seen the failures. They do not want to be beaten by this issue. Trump himself has said the overturn of Wade was not what he thought his appointees should have done.

Forced-birth state legislators are frantically trying to plug the holes in prohibition of pills which women can take to induce miscarriages. Millions of dollars was spent trying to stop beer, wine and whiskey from being sold during the 1920's and prohibition. Then, the "War of Drugs" spend billions, plus many law enforcement killed, trying to stop the sale of drugs like marijuana from being sold.

With a majority of the public supporting abortion rights, I don't see success in trying to stop abortions.
