It Appears Republican Women Have as Many Abortions as Democrats


While political preferences are not recorded in clinics that perform abortions, there is one thing we can be quite sure of, a vast number of women who are Republicans and vote for candidates that oppose abortion have themselves had abortions. There can be no doubt.

Every year the Republican Platform contains several sentences about the evils of abortion. The majority of those who vote Republican prefer abortion rights. Polls show the majority of Catholics support abortion rights. 

The amount of hypocrisy in these two institutions is higher than a mountain. They both try to pick off voters and donors of extreme anti-abortion views so they have the money to keep legislation for lower taxes and less business regulation going strong. 

The link author is a Republican polling expert and helps Republican candidates. She had an abortion and has no regrets. She knew the father would not help with the children and the child would contribute to the self-centered controlling traits she had come to recognize. Today, she feels the abortion gave her and her children a life which would have been taken away by the birth. She calls abortion a "complicated" issue.  

As a political operative, the link author finds it hard to understand why the Republican message that Democrats have abortions and Republicans do not ever got traction. It is so obviously not true. As time goes on, she believes, the distance between what the Republican Party says it stands for and what Republican voters stand for grows larger. 

We've had, it seems to me, decades of political mischief that has gone unpunished. Just today I saw another anti-abortion billboard with lies. It said fetuses smile at 12 weeks. Along with their heart beast when there is no heart, they push a pack of lies. Perhaps, as we are seeing with all the Trump legal cases the beginning of consequences for lies and wrongdoing.

    I took the article at your link as a positive story of a woman’s reproductive right to restore her menses if she so chooses through easy access to safe abortion services. In her case to restore her self-worth and confidence taken from her by a controlling ass of a man.

So much about U.S. society and religion can be learned from the Civil War and what happened afterwards. After its defeat, the South started a myth about the unethical soldiers from the North. The South fought for principles of God and states rights. The North did not. Father Frank Pavone, the Ultimate Crook

Recently, the Vatican defrocked Frank Pavone. His diehard fans are outraged. This is because he cleverly manipulated his fans and the press all the while living well from donations and, apparently, abusing some women. By making abortion the "sin" of the century, and himself the main opposition to this one sin, he himself could get away with any sin he pleased.  As the link points out, Pavone was the perfect priest for the Trump era.
