Catholic Bishops for "Healing" After Supporting Harm is Unconscionable



That Catholic Bishops are proud of harming women by overturn of Roe and now asking the nation for "healing" is cynical to say the least. Many women's lives will be at risk because of the Roe overturn. That does not matter to the Catholic Bishops because women do not matter.

What matters to clergy is themselves. They are emersed in politics and winning in everything. But once they have succeeded in putting your life at risk they want to be your "friend."

Conservative Bishops remain against giving communion to divorce/remarried couples. Here again, they are proud of their power. They have no sympathy for those who are hurt by being turned away. They seem oblivious to the fact a majority of Catholics oppose both their views on abortion and on sacraments for divorced and remarried Catholics.

A statement from the Bishops says they intend to support and advance policies for the common good. From their position on Roe, we have to conclude improvement in the lives of women is not a contribution to the common good. In the male only institution of Catholic clergy, it is understandable to only betterment of the common good is what benefits men. Women have ranked lower since Eve sinned. 

That the Constitution spoke of not government sponsored religion has always been at odds with Catholic clergy. The long history of Catholic church supporting dictators and dictators supporting the church has been imprinted into the minds of clergy. They are unable to understand the intellectual concept of church/state separation. "What good is a government," they must aske themselves, "if it does not carry out God's (our own) will?"

If the Bishops were more honest, they would declare proudly they has defeated the rights of women. It is dishonest to say they now want to be friends with those they have harmed.

So much about U.S. society and religion can be learned from the Civil War and what happened afterwards. After its defeat, the South started a myth about the unethical soldiers from the North. The South fought for principles of God and states rights. The North did not. Father Frank Pavone, the Ultimate Crook

Recently, the Vatican defrocked Frank Pavone. His diehard fans are outraged. This is because he cleverly manipulated his fans and the press all the while living well from donations and, apparently, abusing some women. By making abortion the "sin" of the century, and himself the main opposition to this one sin, he himself could get away with any sin he pleased.  As the link points out, Pavone was the perfect priest for the Trump era.
