Biden referred to "God given" Traits of Trans Gendered People


While homosexuality, heterosexuality or gender identity are not "God given" they are all part of human beings being human beings. There is not a full science-based explanation for same sex attraction. Nor is there one for humans who have the physical traits of one gender but are certain they are of another gender. What we know for certain is this is part of humans, has always been there and will continue as long as there are humans. It was wonderful and gusty to hear President Biden declare he supports trans people.

I posted my praise of Biden on a Christian site comment page today. The replies quoted scripture as if that was a kind of factual truth about trans people or anything else for that matter. To have the President of the United States express support for society's pariahs is a terrible sin commenters said. That, even though the Jesus portrayed in the Bible seemed to do it regularly.   

I remember when gay marriage first began to make headway as acceptable to the general public Christian views were expressed even on this blog site that if signaled the end times. There were references to the end times on the Christian site today due to Biden very few words about trans people.

A Republican member of congress today was removed from Twitter because she said trans people were men pretending to be women. When you think about it, we all "pretend" a little bit. Some young men with big biceps go about with sleeves rolled up to show them off. Maybe they are men but see the need to be a little more masculine than they may feel. 

The thing is, trans is just like homosexuality as a social phenomenon. That is, there have always been gay people and trans people. They have never led a Christian out of the faith. There is nothing about gay marriage of people who see themselves as being different from the gender they were assigned at birth that affects anyone else. 

There are those who see the rest room trans people decide to use as some kind of "danger" issue. That is ridiculous. 

President Biden has turned out to be anything but "sleepy Joe." He is an aggressive and active President willing to risk his political future by supporting those rejected by much of society.

The Religious Capitol Invaders May Yet Win

So much about U.S. society and religion can be learned from the Civil War and what happened afterwards. After its defeat, the South started a myth about the unethical soldiers from the North. The South fought for principles of God and states rights. The North did not. It was the South, this propaganda told the country, that had the high moral ground.  The Capitol invaders, encouraged by Trump, swallowed the myth that Biden's election was stolen. Father Frank Pavone, the Ultimate Crook

Recently, the Vatican defrocked Frank Pavone. His diehard fans are outraged. This is because he cleverly manipulated his fans and the press all the while living well from donations and, apparently, abusing some women. By making abortion the "sin" of the century, and himself the main opposition to this one sin, he himself could get away with any sin he pleased.  As the link points out, Pavone was the perfect priest for the Trump era.
