Laws Against Abortion are Increasing Deaths of Pregnant Women

It is impossible to refute one fact about abortion. One fetus life saved is not a net of one life saved. Saving one fetus does not cause one human to die. But several saved fetuses cause one person to die.

There are various statistics but one is this: States with the most severe laws against abortion have seen an increase in death of pregnant women. They die from various causes but for several unwanted pregnancies a pregnant woman dies. The rate of pregnant women's deaths is lower in states that allow abortions. The often made remark by anti abortion protesters, "I'm for life" means "I'm for fetus life." It does not mean that person is for human life in general.

There are a lot of political juices in anti abortion politics. If the same juices were present for the health of well being of pregnant women we might see some progress. As it is, the rate of death of pregnant women is as high in the U. S. as in the countries former President Trump called "$hit hole countries." The rates of survival in the U.S. are similar to the rates in Mexico and Uzbekistan.

The moniker "Pro-Life" should be replaced with "Pro Fetus Life." Pro Life definitely is not in favor of saving pregnant women's lives. (Oh wait, they will say they "pray" for them.)

Pregnant women die from many causes. Some die from physical problems related to the pregnancy. Others die by murder. Some die from suicide. The numbers from the link study mirror the numbers from The Turnaway Project. In that study none of the woman who had abortions died. The deaths occurred in women who were turned away by abortion providers because of legal restrictions. The conclusion is unavoidable, providing abortions saves lives of women.

No doubt today and everyday someone somewhere repeats the lie that abortions are unsafe. It is instead giving birth that is dangerous. If there is judgement and an afterlife, surely those "pro life" people who have repeated lies for decades will spend their afterlives in fire.

  1. If you kill all the babies before they are born, you reduce SIDS deaths to zero. You put babysitters, daycare operators, pre-schools and all all schools and universities out of business, eventually.

Then again, you have just made mankind extinct in about 60 years.

    Your logic is infallible.

Turn the earth over to the animals, birds, fish and plants.

Then again, AOC says the earth has about 8 years left now.

Atheists, socialist, communists, and Democrats have a unique way of thinking. They are all hypocrites and poor thinkers.

Jon Lindgren has a wife and grown children. He did not practice what he preaches. He wants others to do what he did not do. Sure, he may have helped kill one or more of his grandchildren. Pray tell, how many of your grandchildren ended up in the landfill, down the drain or sold to Planned Parenthood for body parts, etc.

Every preacher should be accountable. Give an account of your life's work in eugenics.

    1. Trying to decide if this is a false dichotomy or a red herring. A bit of both, I presume.

Just a recap: You tried to rebut John's argument by claiming that 1) it will result in the extinction of the human race in about 60 years and 2) John doesn't practice what he preaches.

I'm not able to find any statements in John's argument that would lead me to believe that he is in favor of any policies that would lead to such extreme conclusions.

You, sir, have addressed an argument that doesn't exist.

    2. Matt "Every preacher should be accountable."

Good words for you to take to heart. You and other anti abortion people should stop telling these lies:

LIE: One fetus saved is one additional human.

LIE: Abortion is more dangerous than giving birth.

      LIE: The Bible condemns abortion.

If all mothers die in child birth you will reduce abortion deaths to zero.

  2. Or how about this fact.

The "problem" of unwanted child birth is not a new problem. It is a problem that has existed since people have had the ability to know what "unwanted" means. So far, several millennia of trying to make abortion illegal hasn't work. The United States has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in the world, and leading that charge are the strictest abortion states like New Mexico, Mississippi, Arkansas, West Virginia, Texas, Kentucky....

That tells me something very simple. Abstinence doesn't work. Teenagers are going to have sex, period. The best way to prevent abortion is giving our teenagers all of the tools that they need in order to do so safely. However, anti-abortion advocates are also opposed to the solution.

So they continue to perpetuate the problem.

I'll say it in black and white for the whole world to see. The leading cause of abortion in the United States is the right-wing extremist groups who want to control women's bodies. According to them, women aren't allowed to have sex, and women aren't allowed to have abortions. Screw the negative impact on society.

Sorry, but I don't even respect the anti-abortion stance as a legitimate stance. They are creating a self-fulfilled prophecy, making abortions necessary by being opposed to all of the measures women might take to prevent them.
