Pennsylvania Bill: Require a Funeral for Fertilized Eggs

Anti abortion zealots have no limits to there mission of regulating the behavior of women. This bill would require each fertilized egg which did not become a fetus to have a death certificate and funeral.

Doctors and others who know about this subject matter say a fertilized egg must become implanted on the uterus wall before it can be considered a pregnancy. About half of fertilized eggs do not became implanted and are absorbed by the body or expunged. It is all but impossible to locate these unsuccessful fertilized eggs so no a death certificate can be issued--a death certificate is required before there can be a funeral. In any case, a microscope would be needed to find the "corpse." In fact, a microscope would need to be present at every funeral for the "viewing."

If this all sounds like it is right out of crazy land, it is. Crazy land begins with the idea of the one cell human being and just keeps going further off the rails from there.

That the one cell fertilized egg is a human being is the only official position of anti abortion politics. They have flirted with some others, like "when a heartbeat is detected." This is equally bogus because at the earliest time something like a pulse is detected is a time when there is no heart. The detected pulsation is just nerves firing.

Anti abortion zealots do not deny that if they are successful in placing government in charge of the fetus women lose many rights as individuals. In fact, a large portion of anti abortion zealots are delighted with this. Included in this delight are both women and men.

The bill in Pennsylvania to require a funeral for microscopic fertilized eggs has not yet passed but it remains a symbol of how off the wall many inside the anti abortion community are. Yhey are a group of rational citizens trying to make life better for our society.

  1. Just more bizarre dangerous anti-abortion political theater that exposes its proponents, in my opinion, to extreme risk protection orders and confirms the absurdity of zygote personhood.

  2. The truth of the matter is that the pro-life movement is a moral and political cause led and championed primarily by women, not men. The pro-abortion argument is championed primarily by men who do not wish accountability. Regardless, science and morality are on the side of the pro-life movement ... and the babies.

  3. The pro-abortion Roe v. Wade case was decided entirely by men who favored abortion. The case was decided by a 7-2 vote with 7 men voting "for" and 2 men voting "against".

    1. Ok Matt. Thanks for the info. Let women work it out. If only we could.

    2. Resorting to a sexist argument hardly sways a thinking person. Perhaps we should all be judged by our character and not by the color of our skin, our estrogen content or our religious persuasion. I'm pretty sure I've heard those arguments somewhere in the history of the US of A.
