Christians, Don't Bother Trying to Convince Others

If you tell the story of Jesus to someone who has never heard it, that person will think you are nuts. It's inevitable.

The Jesus story starts with the God story. The invisible God is mad at all the people on earth, a million or so, except Noah. So, he kills them all. God's original plan then was to erase the sinful people that resulted from his first population and start over again--he'd get it right this time.

But, he had to change plans again. This time he decided to try breed his own self into a human. There was still so much sin, however, he had to kill his off spring again but brought him back to life after three days.  Do these stories strike the average rations person as believable?

That the Christian story is myth is so easy for some to see and impossible for others. We don't know who wrote the Bible but there are other books written about the same time which have threads of history back to the actual authors. There are about 200 such authors.

If Jesus was a huge figure addressing multitudes of people raising people from the dead and healing the sick he would have been the talk of the world. There were travelers at the time who carried information across continents. Those 200 other authors did not mention knowing of a "Jesus".

Back at the time the Bible was written people were superstitious. They also believed their dreams and visions were some version of reality. They thought storms were punishment from some god.

It has taken a long time, but slowly reality is replacing the myths of the Bible. A man walking on water is now seen with skepticism.

  1. It appears you are jealous of God since He has a bigger following than you. So, who is "nuts", as you say?

  2. Patheos.com, your source for today's Christian bigotry, is a reliable source of information against Christianity. As expected, they did not disappoint you. I visited the Green Bay Packer's fan website and could not find any kind words about the Minnesota Vikings.

    1. News flash, people are still being converted to Christianity. that fact aside, I'll wager that the atheists, if they got their way, would outlaw Christian proselytizing.

Christians in other countries have killed atheists. The crusades were about Christians killing Muslims. Europe has become majority non Christian and no problems yet. But, there are bad atheists. We need to keep governments in tow.
